We try to offer our members a varied programme and times to suit, including Day Time Sessions,
Evening Sessions and all day Saturday workshops. We try to include a variety of mediums and find something new and interesting

Annual General Meeting - 24th January
- 7.30 – 9.00pm
Yealmpton Community Centre
There are various important issues
to discuss with members but business will be kept to a minimum. This will be followed by a free raffle, art bring and buy
sale, drinks and nibbles, so please come along and support.
Monday and Thursday Day Time Sessions
These are held in the Parish Room, Yealmpton
£3 per session (visitors £4)
Mondays - starting 7th January - Oils
The existing oil painting groups will continue,
Morning group 10am to 1pm
Afternoon group 1.15pm to 4.15pm
A waiting list for places is being compiled by the committee; priority will be
given to members.
Thursdays - starting 1Oth January –Members
10am to 1pm. Paint in company, with guidance from time to time.

24th, 31st January – Beginners Oils with Jean Stilton
Afternoons 1.15pm to 4.15pm
This new session will start with four weeks guidance from Jean.
If this is well supported we can extend our room booking so the group can continue
7pm to 9.30pm
These will normally be held in the W.I. Hall, Yealmpton but due to flooding the meetings will now be held
at the Methodist Hall, Yealmpton.
Wildlife Artist Dave Scott - Demo
Following on from last year’s successful visit Dave is returning to
demonstrate more skills for wildlife painting.
Still Life around Spring
A still life centred on ‘spring’ will be set up for members to paint. Any

Michael Hill – Boats, Buildings and Beaches, Fowey
Any medium. The Cornish town of Fowey offers a wealth of subject matter for the artist. Michael will try to help simplify
what can be a daunting proposition.
16th Jane Vaux – Stormy Seas
Jane will conduct a workshop on acrylic
painting techniques to paint a stormy sea. Bring your own image/sketch to paint.
23rd Michael Sanders – Estuary River Scene
Suitable for all abilities. Paint from your
own image/sketch or paint along with Michael using oils, acrylics or watercolour. Michael's demonstration will include
advice on composition, colour mixing and painting techniques along with plenty of one to one tuition. www.michaelsanders.co.uk
Mike McDonald – Seascapes, Rock cliffs
media. Mike, an artist and tutor working in South Devon is particularly inspired by moor and seascapes. He will bring a selection

September 28th Howard and Wendy Jones – Draw
Howard and Wendy will encourage confidence in drawing and the exploration of mixed media surfaces,
marks and textures that can make your own work more exciting. The themes for this workshop will be natural objects such as
wood, plants, seedcases, pebbles etc.
November 16thth Jenny
Johnson – Portraits in Watercolour
This workshop for beginners and improvers will offer the challenge to draw and paint the human face from a model,
observing structure, proportion, light and shade, as well as trying to capture a likeness. The day will start with quick studies
in pencil or charcoal and progress to a more detailed and considered portrait in watercolour helping to produce colour mixes
and translucent washes over pencil drawings.
